The material used also interferes with how much you are going to spend on your shed. It can be wood ($600-$3,000), metal ($300-$2,000), vinyl ($800-$5,000) and other materials depending on your taste.

Defining your costs really come down to the size of your shed. The cost to build it on average is $17 to $24 per square foot. For example, if you’re hiring a contractor, we can estimate the shed that is 8 x 12-foot should cost you about $ 2,050 and a 12 x 28-foot shed should end up around $ 8,200. The bigger you go, the more expensive it gets.
DIY
If you are really capable of doing this on your own, then it should cost you at least $2,000. Make sure to have the right tools before anything else, because if you don’t, you should consider hiring someone to do the job, it might save you some cash at the end. Also, be sure that you know all the materials you are going to need to build this out beforehand so that you aren’t caught by surprise.
Carpenters and handymen
The skills and time and effort that these professionals put into building a shed will cost you about $185 to $630 on average. You can’t think of cutting costs here, because this is one of the most important parts of the project.
Also, make sure the person that you are hiring is the right one for the job, you should “play the field” a little and start asking questions such as how long they’ve been doing this, previous project design and so on to make sure that you have the proper references for a project like this.
